This very elegant, almost regal shawl is handknit with classic lace patterns. The body of the shawl has the leaf pattern in true-lace and the edging is also in true-lace with little squares in it.
The shawl is very large yet only takes 1200m / 1320y (knitting tension might ask for more, I would advise more yarn) Size: 80 x 193 cm / 31,5" x 76"
You can knit it yourself and then walk proud with it on a boulevard, at a chique party or just on a summers evening. Also a perfect gift for a bride, for mothersday or even for a promnight.
The yarn is very soft and it wears like a cloud, weighing in at only 120gr / 4,2 ounces.
You are: a skilled laceknitter You need: 2 sizes in needles: 3,5mm or US4 for the shawl and 3,75mm or US5 for the edging. And: 1200m / 1320y (preferably more) of kidsilk (25gr/250m) Also: Blocking wires, tapestry needle for weaving in ends and a bit of soap for washing.
