This is fine knitted lace shawl. The design and knitting was completely done by A Passion For Lace.
It's a 100% natural, undyed, wool shawl, with delicate lace patterns on both sides. It has 5 colours and they run from dark to light. In the centre of the shawl is a row of hearts.
The shawl size: 110cm x 110cm and it weighs 102gr. or 45" x 45" and 3.6 ounces.
Yarn: 1650m Jamieson & Smith Shetland Supreme 1/16NM Gossamer 1 ply in (1) Black, (2) grey, (2) fawn, (2) white and (1) optical white* (400m/25gr)
Needles: 2mm or US 1 (for fine lace) or 2,5mm or US 1,5 (for lace)
Size: approx. 45” x 45” after blocking on US 1 or 60”x 60” approx. on US1,5 needles.
Notions: stitch markers, tapestry needle to weave in ends, mild detergent for washing, blocking kit and T pins for blocking.
Pattern contains 12 pages (don't print them all) of which 6 are with charts. Four of the charts are worked as one. Instructions to work flat, and grafting is needed. Pictures and scheme for support.
* The optical white is only 12 rows. If you don’t want to purchase a whole ball for just 12 rows, the natural white will do. You can wear it folded as a doubled triangle, which will show the edging and the centre perfectly. Or fold it with a nice (delicate) pin around the neck.
The wool isn't itchy, but it is 100% Shetland Wool. So in case of an allergy, I wouldn't recommend it. Please choose something elsebut in similar weight.
The other versions are; a 4 colour Cashmere (1400m/100gr) and a single colour grey/green (1600/100gr).
